Privacy Policy

A clear overview of how information submitted through the OICPA website is handled and protected.

Last updated: September 8, 2026

Information we collect

When you submit a form on this website - the contact form, the pricing tool, or a request to book a call - we collect what you provide directly: your name, email address, phone number, business name, and any details you share about your situation or the services you are interested in.

We also collect limited information automatically through analytics, described below: general browser and device information, approximate location derived from IP address, and how you navigate the site (pages viewed, links clicked, time on page).

We do not collect sensitive tax or financial documents through the general contact form, and you should not submit Social Security numbers, full financial account numbers, or tax documents that way. Once you are an active client, document exchange happens through the client portal, which is built for that purpose - not through the public contact form or email attachments.

Analytics and cookies

This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic patterns and improve the site - which pages are useful, where visitors drop off, and which content resonates. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies and may collect information under its own privacy terms; see Google's privacy policy for how it processes that data. You can opt out of Google Analytics at any time with Google's browser opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.

We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share data with data brokers or advertisers.

How we use information

We use the information you submit to respond to your inquiry, evaluate whether our services fit your situation, schedule calls, and, if you become a client, to deliver the engaged services. We do not use information collected through this website for unrelated marketing to third parties.

How information may be shared

We do not sell personal data. Information may be shared with service providers who help us operate the website or communicate with you - for example, an email delivery service, a scheduling tool, or (only if you are directed to one) a third-party form-processing endpoint - and only to the extent necessary for that specific function. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

Data retention

Inquiry information from the contact form and pricing tool is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, for the duration of the engagement plus whatever retention period applies to CPA work papers and tax records under professional standards and IRS recordkeeping rules. If you ask us to delete non-client inquiry information, we will do so unless we have a legal or professional obligation to retain it.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we have collected about you, request corrections, or request deletion of information that is not subject to a professional retention requirement. Contact info@oicpa.com to make a request, and we will respond within a reasonable time.

California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, this section summarizes how the categories above map to California's requirements.

  • Categories collected: identifiers (name, email, phone), commercial information (services inquired about), and internet activity (site usage via analytics) - see "Information we collect" above.
  • Sources: directly from you (forms), and automatically via analytics technology.
  • Purposes: responding to inquiries, evaluating fit, scheduling, and delivering engaged services - see "How we use information" above.
  • Disclosure to service providers: limited to providers who help operate the website or communicate with you (e.g. email delivery, analytics, form processing) - see "How information may be shared" above.
  • Sale or sharing: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Requests: California residents may request to know, delete, or correct their personal information, or opt out of any future sale/sharing, by contacting info@oicpa.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Children's privacy

This website is directed at businesses and adults seeking tax and accounting services. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Third-party links

This site may link to third-party tools or resources. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which you should review before submitting information to them.
